Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a barrel drop-in vs. one that requires fitting?
A drop-in barrel is manufactured to tolerances that allow it to function without hand fitting. Most aftermarket barrels for Glocks and M&Ps are drop-in. 1911/2011 barrels almost always require fitting — see our Fitted Barrel Install service.
Will any aftermarket barrel work in my pistol?
Quality matters. Stick to reputable brands: KKM, Lone Wolf, Agency Arms, Faxon, Zev, etc. Bring what you have and we’ll check the fit.
Is the service price all-inclusive?
The $20 covers the barrel installation labor. The barrel itself is not included.
